Starting Out

Starting out with anything, who's gonna know?  When the only advertising voice is your own and you haven't got much of a budget, how do you get known? These are questions I'm asking myself about my own website. The answers are the same as if i were going to play a show. A website should be promoted as if it were a paying gig. Tack flyers up anywhere you can , pass out business cards to friends and strangers alike, tell one tell all. I know it's hard playing to an empty club and it can be just as difficult finding motivation to post content to a website when its seems very few care, but there ain't no future if you don't try, plus it will give you an outlet of achievement to build upon. In the past I've gone stagnant for long periods of time, sometimes months as far as this website goes but I keep coming back and I've noticed a change in my attitude, the stagnant times are getting shorter.
